The Music Center was conceived by a diverse set of individuals who had a common goal: to plant an intangible seed of culture. It is made whole by four theaters that deny boundaries and cater to both intimate and spectacular. By virtue of the founders, the emphasis on the fluidity of identity is manifested and mirrored by an emblem that can be pushed and pulled in metaphor, environment, and meaning. For example, it may transform from a framing device for information to a stage backdrop for performances.
